Pricing Analyst (Law Firm)

Coda Search is partnering with a top global law firm headquartered in New York, NY. This is a dynamic firm that has seen exponential growth over the last few years. The finance team is seeking a Pricing Analyst to support strategic pricing initiatives, client negotiations, and firmwide profitability efforts. This role will collaborate closely with attorneys, finance leadership, and business development to drive data-driven pricing strategies and enhance client value.

• Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with partners, finance, and business development to design and evaluate competitive pricing proposals for both new and existing clients.
• Build dynamic financial models to analyze profitability, rate structures, and alternative fee arrangements (AFAs).
• Track and report client-matter budgets, providing variance analyses, margin insights, and recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Evaluate firmwide rate strategies, discounts, and realization metrics to identify revenue optimization opportunities.
• Develop and maintain pricing dashboards, tools, and reports to support leadership decision-making and business planning.
• Support the continuous improvement of pricing processes, profitability reporting, and client value initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, pricing, or profitability management—ideally within a law firm or other professional services environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and business acumen with the ability to collaborate effectively with partners and senior leadership.
