We are currently hiring an experienced Power BI Developer for a hybrid contract opportunity in Richmond, VA.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
Build reporting solutions using existing Dataverse/Dynamics 365 data models.
Develop data transformations using Power Query and M.
Work with SQL Server, Azure Blob Storage, and Cosmos DB data sources.
Develop and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, and relationships.
Create and maintain dimensional/semantic models and star schemas.
Work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
Implement and test Power BI Row-Level Security (RLS).
Troubleshoot refresh issues, improve report performance, and maintain existing datasets.
Support Power BI Service workspaces, datasets, refreshes, gateways, and deployments.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and requirements discussions.
Required Skills
4+ years of professional Power BI Development experience.
3+ years of strong DAX experience.
3+ years of Power Query/M experience.
3+ years of SQL experience.
2+ years of dimensional/semantic data modeling and Star Schema.
2+ years of Power BI with Dataverse or Dynamics 365.
4+ years working directly with business stakeholders.
Strong data visualization and dashboard design skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
