About the Role

Inceed is partnering with a client to hire an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to help build and maintain enterprise reporting solutions. This is a hands-on role for a business intelligence professional with deep experience in Power BI development, semantic modeling, DAX, and reporting performance optimization.

You’ll take ownership of enterprise semantic models, develop interactive dashboards, create paginated reports, and help establish scalable reporting practices. Working closely with data engineering and business teams, you’ll ensure data models and reports are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

The role also involves improving development practices through source control and CI/CD, maintaining reporting standards, and supporting other team members with technical guidance and BI best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• •Design, develop, and maintain enterprise semantic models using dimensional modeling principles.
• •Build advanced DAX measures, calculation groups, and time intelligence logic to support complex reporting requirements.
• •Create interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that help business users analyze data and make informed decisions.
• •Develop paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder and Power BI Report Server (PBIRS).
• •Support source control and CI/CD processes for Power BI development projects.
• •Improve report and dataset performance through DAX optimization, query folding, model tuning, and other performance-enhancement techniques.
• •Implement and maintain row-level security (RLS), object-level security (OLS), sensitivity labels, and dataset governance practices.
• •Collaborate with data engineering teams to define, prepare, and validate source data for reporting and analytics.
• •Document semantic models, data lineage, reporting standards, and development processes.
• •Promote consistent BI development practices and contribute to the quality and scalability of enterprise reporting solutions.
• •Provide technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues while supporting broader business intelligence best practices.

Required Qualifications

• •15+ years of overall experience in business intelligence and reporting.
• •5–7 years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
• •Strong experience designing and maintaining enterprise semantic models using dimensional modeling techniques.
• •Advanced knowledge of DAX, including complex measures, calculation groups, and time intelligence.
• •Experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• •Proficiency in Power Query and SQL for data preparation, transformation, and analysis.
• •Demonstrated experience with BI performance tuning and model optimization.
• •Experience with source control and CI/CD practices for business intelligence development.
• •Understanding of row-level security, object-level security, and dataset governance.
• •Ability to collaborate effectively with data engineering teams, business stakeholders, and other technical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

• •Annual salary of $133,000–$150,000, depending on experience.

• •15 days of prorated vacation during the first year.
