  • A senior pharmacy operations role focused on leading medication purchasing, inventory strategy, and data analytics across the pharmacy supply chain. The role drives cost optimisation, operational efficiency, and data-informed decision-making through advanced analytics, dashboards, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Pharmacy Procurement & Supply Chain Management
  • Oversee medication purchasing, inventory, and supply chain performance
  • Identify and implement improvements in cost, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Manage supply chain metrics such as stock levels, usage patterns, shortages, and waste
  • Data & Analytics Leadership
  • Build and maintain dashboards tracking medication utilisation and performance
  • Conduct advanced analysis of pharmacy, financial, and operational datasets
  • Develop reporting frameworks for leadership decision-making
  • Integrate data across EHR, purchasing, inventory, and finance systems
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with informatics, finance, and analytics teams to improve operational systems
  • Support benchmarking and performance reporting across departments
  • Translate data insights into actionable operational improvements
  • Systems & Reporting
  • Use or oversee tools such as EHR reporting systems (e.g., Epic modules)
  • Support business intelligence reporting and automation initiatives
  • Contribute to development of data pipelines and reporting workflows
  • Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead departmental analytics for multi-year strategic planning
  • Support executive reporting and operational decision-making
  • Supervise pharmacy operations team members (where applicable)
  • Requirements
  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (required)
  • PharmD (preferred)
  • Master’s in Pharmacy Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Business (preferred)
  • Experience
  • 3+ years pharmacy practice experience
  • 2+ years in medication purchasing and inventory management (required)
  • 1+ year supervisory/management experience (required)
  • Experience in pharmacy analytics, supply chain, or operational improvement (required)
  • Exposure to 340B programs (preferred)
  • Experience in data-driven or analytical roles within healthcare (preferred)
  • Technical Skills
  • Advanced Excel (PowerQuery, pivot tables, complex modelling, automation)
  • Experience with BI dashboards and reporting tools
  • Ability to work with integrated healthcare data systems (EHR + finance + supply chain)
  • Data analysis experience in pharmacy or hospital environments
  • Familiarity with benchmarking tools (GPO, 340B analytics platforms)
  • Certifications
  • Registered Pharmacist (California Board of Pharmacy) – Required
  • Apexus 340B Advanced Operations Certification – Preferred (within 6 months of hire)
