Role Description The Data Architect is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s data architecture to support scalable and secure data solutions. Day-to-day activities include defining data models, setting standards for data governance, and collaborating with engineering and business teams to align data structures with organizational objectives. The role involves overseeing data integration processes, including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) workflows, and optimizing data warehousing solutions for analytics and reporting. The Data Architect will evaluate new data technologies, document architecture and data flows, ensure data quality and consistency, and support stakeholders with technical guidance on data-related initiatives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Architecture and Data Modeling to design scalable, secure, and efficient data structures.
Candidates should possess skills in Data Governance to define policies, standards, and best practices that ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Data Warehousing to build and maintain robust data pipelines and analytical repositories.
Candidates should possess proficiency in SQL and at least one major database platform (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL).
Candidates should possess experience with cloud data platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and modern data integration frameworks.
Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
