• The Opportunity
• A highly established 100% employee-owned general contractor is expanding its Arizona mission critical operation and is looking to add an experienced MEP Superintendent to its team.

This is a key site-based position on a major data center project, working across complex mechanical and electrical systems from installation through testing, commissioning and turnover.

We're looking for someone who understands that successful MEP delivery isn't just about getting equipment installed. You need to understand sequencing, coordination, quality, testing and commissioning, and be comfortable driving those activities in a live data center construction environment.

• The Role
• As MEP Superintendent, you will take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of MEP construction activities, working closely with Project Managers, trade partners, vendors, commissioning teams and the wider site leadership team.

• Key Responsibilities
• Lead MEP construction activities across a major data center project
• Manage and coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors
• Drive installation, sequencing and schedule performance
• Coordinate MEP activities with structural and architectural scopes
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals and coordination requirements
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or commissioning
• Manage MEP quality and ensure work is delivered to project specifications
• Coordinate equipment startup, testing and pre-commissioning activities
• Work closely with the commissioning team through L1–L5 commissioning and turnover
• Ensure systems are properly installed, tested, documented and ready for commissioning
• Support functional testing and final system turnover
• Maintain strong safety standards across all MEP activities
• Lead coordination meetings with subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to field teams

• What We're Looking For
• We're interested in speaking with experienced MEP Superintendents who have delivered complex MEP construction projects and understand the demands of mission critical environments.

Your background should ideally include:

• 5+ years of MEP Superintendent or equivalent field leadership experience
• Data center / mission critical construction experience
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical construction knowledge
• Experience managing MEP subcontractors and multiple trades
• Understanding of MEP coordination and construction sequencing
• Practical understanding of the commissioning process
• Experience taking systems from installation through testing and turnover
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of construction quality and QA/QC
• Ability to identify and resolve technical and coordination issues in the field
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A safety-first approach

• Commissioning Experience Is Important
• This role is particularly suited to a Superintendent who understands what happens after installation.You don't need to be a Commissioning Manager, but you should understand how MEP construction feeds into the commissioning process and be comfortable coordinating with commissioning agents, vendors and trade partners to ensure systems are ready for testing.
• Experience with L1–L5 commissioning, equipment startup, pre-functional checklists, functional testing, integrated systems testing and turnover documentation would be highly valuable.
