Job Summary:

The Materials Analyst 1 will support material planning, inventory management, demand forecasting, and supply chain activities in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The role involves monitoring material availability, analyzing inventory levels, identifying shortages and supply risks, and collaborating with procurement, planning, operations, warehouse teams, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze material requirements and support planning activities based on production schedules and customer demand
  • Monitor inventory levels and material availability to identify shortages, excess inventory, and supply risks
  • Track inventory metrics and prepare reports on material performance, shortages, inventory trends, and forecasted requirements
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Planning, Operations, and Warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability
  • Support inventory cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions
  • Review purchase orders, material changes, and demand fluctuations to ensure adequate supply coverage
  • Analyze excess and obsolete inventory and support disposition strategies
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve material-related issues and support on-time delivery
  • Maintain inventory data integrity and support ERP/MRP transactions
  • Participate in continuous improvement and supply chain initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
  • 2–5 years of Materials Planning, Inventory, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing experience
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and material planning
  • Experience with demand planning and forecasting
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience identifying material shortages, supply risks, and inventory discrepancies
  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred
  • Experience with supplier coordination and production planning is a plus
  • SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Advanced Excel, Lean/Six Sigma experience is preferred
  • Must be willing to work onsite in Milpitas, CA
