Role Description The Junior IT System Business Analyst will support the analysis, documentation, and improvement of IT systems and business processes for clients. This contract role is based in the New York City Metropolitan Area with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and documenting business and technical requirements, assisting with system configuration and testing, and supporting stakeholders in understanding system functionalities. The analyst will collaborate with senior analysts, technical teams, and business users to troubleshoot issues, track defects, and ensure timely resolution. The role also involves preparing user guides, assisting with training, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across systems and processes.
Qualifications
Strong Systems Analysis and Analytical Skills to understand business needs, interpret data, and translate requirements into technical specifications.
Foundational experience in Information Technology, including familiarity with enterprise applications, databases, or IT infrastructure concepts.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to help diagnose issues, work with tickets, and support end users and project teams.
Ability to document processes, workflows, and requirements using clear, structured formats and standard tools (e.g., Excel, Visio, or similar).
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at different levels.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced consulting or client-focused environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (e.g., Agile or Waterfall) and basic understanding of project management practices is beneficial.
Previous internship or junior-level experience in business analysis, IT support, or related roles is a plus.
