Role Description This part-time Junior Data Analyst role is an entry-level opportunity based in the New York City Metropolitan Area with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. The Junior Data Analyst will support data collection, cleaning, validation, and basic exploratory analysis to help transform raw data into meaningful insights. Daily tasks include building and updating simple reports and dashboards, preparing data summaries, and assisting with data modeling under the guidance of senior team members. The role also involves interpreting results, documenting methods, and clearly communicating findings to internal stakeholders in a structured, easy-to-understand format. The Junior Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret patterns, trends, and relationships in data.
Foundational knowledge of data analytics and familiarity with common tools or platforms (e.g., Excel, SQL, or BI tools).
Basic understanding of statistics, including descriptive statistics and common statistical concepts used in business analysis.
Introductory data modeling skills or coursework, with an interest in learning how to structure and organize data for analysis and reporting.
Clear and professional communication skills, including the ability to explain data findings to non-technical audiences.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and an organized approach to handling multiple tasks.
Interest in professional services and working with diverse clients or business use cases.
Relevant coursework or a degree in a quantitative or related field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Computer Science) is preferred but not required.
