Role Description The Junior Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level) will support research and operational projects by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data related to digital law, policy, and program activities. This part-time, remote role involves working with structured and unstructured datasets, preparing clean datasets, and building basic reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders. The analyst will assist in designing data models, running statistical analyses, and generating visualizations that help explain trends and insights in accessible ways. Daily tasks include documenting methods, collaborating with legal and research teams to understand data needs, and contributing to the automation and improvement of data workflows. The role also includes preparing concise summaries of findings and supporting the development of data-driven content for publications, training materials, and presentations.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret patterns, identify issues, and propose data-driven insights.
Foundational experience in data analytics and data modeling, including working with datasets and building basic analytical reports.
Basic understanding of statistics, such as descriptive statistics and introductory inferential methods.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with spreadsheets and at least one data analysis or visualization tool (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Interest in digital law, technology policy, or related fields; prior academic or project experience in these areas is a plus.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate across cultures and disciplines.
Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in data science, statistics, economics, computer science, law, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
