Role Description This part-time remote Junior Data Analyst role at GE - Régulation du travail et du commerce (OCIRT) focuses on supporting data-driven decision-making for labor and trade regulation activities. The Junior Data Analyst will collect, clean, and organize datasets from internal systems and external sources to ensure information is accurate and consistent. On a day-to-day basis, this role will assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and visualizations that help teams monitor key indicators and compliance trends. The position will also support basic statistical analysis, documentation of methodologies, and maintenance of data dictionaries. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to clarify data requirements, troubleshoot data issues, and improve data quality is a core part of the role.
Qualifications
Demonstrated foundation in data analysis concepts, including data cleaning, transformation, and basic descriptive statistics.
Familiarity with spreadsheets and at least one data analysis or visualization tool (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Ability to prepare clear, structured reports and presentations that communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, with a focus on data accuracy, consistency, and documentation.
Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a part-time, remote environment.
Interest in public administration, labor regulation, trade regulation, or related fields is an asset.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and contribute to an inclusive, respectful workplace.
Relevant education in data science, economics, statistics, business, public policy, or a related field (completed or in progress).
