This opportunity is set up as a 6 month contract with potential to extend and is an on-site position 5 days per week in Montgomery, IL.

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in IT or related field, or 3-5+ years related IT experience.
  • Experience supporting users in a manufacturing or plant/distribution environment preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Office 365, Active Directory, Imaging, End User Support, SCCM, Windows 10/11, Basic Networking (TCP/IP / LAN / Wi-Fi), ITSM Ticketing Systems, Zebra Printers / Label Systems, RF Scanners
  • Preferred: SAP or Epicor (basic familiarity), Druva InSync backup tools, VMware, Predator / DNC Software.
  • Ability to work independently and execute tasks with minimal supervision under site IT lead direction.
  • Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver front-line support for Windows endpoints, O365, Zebra printers/labels, RF scanners, and common peripherals; escalate per help chain and document repeatable fixes.
  • Manage ticket queues and end user requests through the ITSM system; ensure timely resolution and accurate ticket documentation per site SLA expectations.
  • Image and provision devices via SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) is a powerful Microsoft management tool used by IT support and systems teams to remotely manage, update, and troubleshoot computers across an organization. It acts as a central hub for handling software distribution, operating system deployments, and security patching; perform data transfer and profile setup; enforce endpoint hardening per security standards.
  • Administer basic Active Directory user and group tasks (create/modify/disable); manage printer queues/shares; assist with Wi-Fi/LAN connectivity checks.
  • Support site applications and infrastructure under guidance, including exposure to SAP, Epicor, VMware/Veeam, and proprietary business systems (including IT Matrix-managed applications and custom reporting environments).
  • Assist with change control documentation and ensure all site changes are logged and approved per the client’s change management process.
  • Maintain accurate documentation: ticket notes and device inventory.
  • Communicate clearly with non-technical plant floor users; model customer service, safety, compliance, and policy adherence consistent with the client’s IT standards.
  • Physical and Safety Requirements
  • Ability to work on the plant/production floor; adhere to all client safety protocols including PPE requirements.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 45 lbs.).
