Investment Analyst Intern

WestGate Partners acquires and grows founder-owned, lower-middle-market home and commercial service businesses (HVAC, landscaping, plumbing and similar). Our interns work directly with the investment team in a lean, fast-paced environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for driven and detail-oriented Investment Analyst Interns to join our team. This role is primarily focused on deal sourcing: finding, researching and qualifying founder-owned home and commercial service businesses that could become future acquisitions. Interns will also get exposure to live transactions, supporting our team on active deals alongside their sourcing work.

What you'll do:

• - Research and screen companies against our investment criteria, including size, services mix, ownership and geography
• - Map local and regional markets to identify attractive areas and acquisition targets
• - Support direct outreach to business owners and track conversations and follow-ups
• - Conduct market and industry research to support our deal theses
• - Assist on live transactions, including financial analysis, investment memoranda and diligence

PROGRAM DETAILS

• - Term: November 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027. Every intern starts November 1; there are no other start dates. Strong performers may be offered an extension.
• - Hours: 15 to 20 hours per week, with at least 10 to 15 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time). Evening-only or overnight schedules don't work.
• - Location: Fully remote. Must be located in the United States or Canada.
• - Compensation: Unpaid. No salary, hourly pay or commission.
• - Eligibility: Current college students (freshman through graduate student; not recent graduates) who can commit to the full term and are not currently working or interning anywhere else. Clubs, student organizations and personal projects are fine.
