Job Description:

The IT Systems Analyst will work in the Information Technology Department and will report to the Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Assurance Supervisor. Primary responsibilities include supporting the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of the Pentrax system; conducting user acceptance testing for system updates and new releases; troubleshooting system-related issues; coordinating with IT staff, developers, testers, and internal stakeholders; maintaining system documentation, forms, correspondence, and procedures; and assisting with website maintenance and other system-related projects.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field.
• Previous experience and certifications in IT, systems support, quality assurance, business analysis, or technical support environment are considered an asset.
• Entry-level candidates with relevant internship, co-op, or other practical experience will be considered.
• Experience working with software testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), or system implementation projects is considered an asset.
• Experience with Jira or a similar issue-tracking system is considered an asset.
• Previous experience working with pension administration systems, benefits administration, or a related environment is considered an asset.

Key Accountabilities:

• Reports to the QA Supervisor
• Assists in Projects related to the design, development, and improvement of IT systems
• Responsible for testing of updates and new system processes and reporting to the IT Management team
• Consults with the IT Management team in develop of testing groups
• Communicates with IT staff to determine if system processes can be improved and reports to IT Management team
• Participates in meetings with developers regarding Spec development, system issues and updates
• Provides trouble shooting and support to Analysts when issues arise with system and reports any problems to developers through Jira
• Responsible for UAT testing of any new releases and on-going Jira tickets
• Assists with updating Correspondence updates in systems
• Assist in communication regarding system changes and new updates
• Assists in updates and drafts of new internal and external forms
• Assists in the maintenance of the Public, Local and Employer website
• Assists in testing and preparing of OPDC/PSF receipts
• Assists in updates for the IT Procedure Manuals
• Assists in testing and preparing of Excess hours correspondence
• Additional duties upon request

Salary: $87,695.40 – $94,946.02
