Role Description The Information Technology Business Analyst will work in a contract, hybrid role based in Newark, OH, with some work-from-home flexibility. The individual will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into clear specifications for IT solutions. Daily responsibilities include evaluating existing business processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement, and supporting the design of technology-enabled workflows. The Business Analyst will facilitate meetings and workshops, create process maps and use cases, and support testing and validation of system changes to ensure solutions meet business needs. The role also involves preparing reports, presentations, and documentation, and coordinating with project teams to support successful implementation and user adoption.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Business analysis experience, including gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.
Knowledge of business processes and workflows, with the ability to map, optimize, and redesign processes in collaboration with stakeholders.
Understanding of information technology concepts, systems, and architectures to effectively liaise between business and technical teams.
Experience with requirements management tools, process modeling tools, or project management software is beneficial.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in an accessible manner.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are a plus.
