Salary: $110,000-$115,000 CAD

- Are you an experienced HVAC Technician looking to take your career beyond traditional commercial service work? This is an opportunity to work with advanced cooling systems that support some of the world's most critical facilities, including data centers and other mission-critical environments.
You'll receive extensive onboarding, hands-on training, and mentorship from experienced technicians. During your first several months, you'll shadow senior technicians in the field, learning equipment, troubleshooting techniques, commissioning procedures, and customer interactions. As your skills and confidence grow, you'll transition into independently handling preventative maintenance, service calls, repairs, and commissioning activities throughout your assigned territory.
In addition to on-the-job training, you'll participate in ongoing technical development programs, including occasional travel to Columbus, Ohio, for advanced equipment training and professional development.
This is a remote, field-based role with local travel typically within a 20-90 minute radius of your home location. Regional satellite offices provide additional support when needed.

- What You'll Do
- Following your training period, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and commissioning mission-critical cooling equipment at customer locations throughout your region.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and emergency service on commercial HVAC and critical cooling systems
- Service and maintain CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning) and CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, refrigeration, electrical, controls, and system performance issues
- Install, commission, and start up new cooling equipment
- Execute equipment upgrades and field change notices (FCNs)
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Maintain accurate service reports, inventory records, and work documentation
- Manage company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory
- Provide exceptional customer service with a focus on first-time fix resolution
- Deliver both on-site and remote technical support when necessary
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company standards
- Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Trade School Certificate, or equivalent technical education (HVAC/Refrigeration preferred)
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC or refrigeration experience
- Experience working with:
- CRAC and/or CRAH systems
- Electrical diagnostics and control systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid refrigerant handling certification and licensing required by the applicable province
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience servicing Liebert / Vertiv cooling equipment Strongly preferred for candidates in the Toronto market
- Experience working in data centers, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing, or other mission-critical environments
- Strong brazing, refrigeration, and commissioning skills
- Red Seal Journeyperson Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic Certification
- Equivalent provincial refrigeration certification
- Ontario Candidates: 313A Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic License strongly preferred
- Montreal Candidates: Fluency in both French and English required
