Data Governance Specialist - Supply Chain

Location: Pleasanton, California (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist for a supply chain role. This position focuses on managing and maintaining critical supply chain master data. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of supply chain domain knowledge, data governance experience, and skills in cross-functional collaboration. This role offers an opportunity to own and improve data foundations with high visibility across teams and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain supply chain master data, including product, vendor, inventory, and location information.
• Monitor and improve data quality by identifying and resolving inconsistencies and gaps.
• Define and enforce data standards, governance rules, and business processes.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and IT teams to support business needs.
• Document data definitions, workflows, and governance procedures.
• Support audit readiness and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to ensure reliable reporting and insights.
• Participate in data governance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Data Governance, Master Data Management, or Data Analytics.

Supply Chain Knowledge: Understanding of supply chain processes such as inventory management, procurement, logistics, and planning.

Data & Governance Skills: Experience with Master Data Management (MDM), data quality monitoring, and governance frameworks.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Excel for analysis and experience with SQL or other data querying tools.

Communication Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present to leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Data Governance tools such as Alation, Atlan, or Collibra.
• Exposure to reporting and analytics environments.
