Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GenAI Data Scientist specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead advanced NLP projects, leveraging your deep expertise to extract meaningful insights from unstructured text data. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge solutions that drive actionable business outcomes.

• Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and optimize generative AI models and agentic chatbot systems
• Build sophisticated conversational AI applications with multi-turn dialogue capabilities
• Implement and customize large language models (LLMs) for specific business use cases
• Develop prompt engineering strategies and fine-tuning approaches for optimal model performance
• Architect scalable AI solutions that can handle high-volume, real-time interactions
• Integrate AI systems with existing enterprise infrastructure and APIs
• Deploy AI solutions across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises environments
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI model deployment and updates
• Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and performance optimization of deployed solutions
• Stay current with latest developments in generative AI, LLMs, and agentic systems
• Evaluate and integrate new AI technologies and frameworks
• Contribute to research initiatives and proof-of-concept projects
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership
• Experience with fine-tuning, RLHF, and prompt engineering techniques
• Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience building conversational AI agents and chatbots
• Understanding of dialogue management, intent recognition, and entity extraction
• Experience with multi-agent systems and agent orchestration
• Knowledge of conversation design principles and user experience optimization
• Familiarity and understanding with Model Context Protocol (MCP) implementation
• Familiarity and understanding of Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication patterns
• API design and integration experience
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for AI workloads
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of serverless computing and edge deployment
• Intermediate-level Python programming skills
• Experience with ML frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers
• Proficiency in API frameworks: FastAPI, Flask, or similar
• Experience with vector databases and embedding systems
• Experience with specific AI agent frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen)

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Adaptability to rapidly evolving AI technologies and methodologies
• Ability to deliver on tight deadlines

Pay

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $120,000 - $135,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
