About The Role

The role at PHINIA involves managing the end-to-end invoice processing cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and resolving invoice discrepancies, reconciling accounts, and supporting the monthly financial closing procedures. This position requires effective communication with suppliers, internal departments, and external authorities to facilitate smooth financial operations. Additionally, the role involves preparing reports, handling audit processes, and addressing specific requirements from Mexican authorities related to financial and tax regulations. The candidate will also be responsible for posting journal vouchers and supporting internal controls to maintain the integrity of the company’s financial records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, or financial reconciliation.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (minimum 50%).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Proactive mindset with problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Mexican tax and regulatory requirements related to financial reporting and invoicing is preferred.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems or processes as required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed invoice processing, including verification, analysis, and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Support the monthly closing process by preparing necessary journal vouchers and reports.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve invoicing issues promptly.
  • Participate in internal and external audit processes, providing required documentation and support.
  • Manage compliance requirements with Mexican authorities, including tax filings and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of financial transactions and correspondence.
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in reporting and analysis to support financial decision-making.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the finance team.
