  • Waggle is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance team. This role will support financial planning and analysis across our e-commerce, wholesale, and retail channels, helping leadership understand business performance and make informed decisions.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing organization. This person will support budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting while working with teams across the company.

This position reports to the Head of Finance.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning & Forecasting
  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting processes
  • Prepare monthly forecasts for revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, cash flow, and other key financial metrics
  • Analyze actual results compared with budget, forecast, and prior-year performance
  • Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities and clearly communicate findings to leadership
  • Develop financial models to support long-term planning and strategic initiatives
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining the company’s 13-week cash flow forecast
  • Business & Financial Analysis
  • Analyze financial performance across e-commerce, wholesale, and retail channels
  • Evaluate profitability by customer, product category, sales channel, and store location
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including revenue growth, gross margin, inventory levels, operating expenses, and profitability
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Retail teams to evaluate business performance
  • Provide financial analysis for pricing decisions, promotions, product launches, inventory purchases, and other business initiatives
  • Prepare scenario and sensitivity analyses to support business decisions
  • Assist with new-store projections, capital investments, and return-on-investment analyses
  • Inventory & Operational Planning
  • Support inventory forecasting and open-to-buy planning
  • Analyze inventory levels, sell-through, turnover, and days on hand
  • Work with Operations and Sales to support inventory planning and purchasing decisions
  • Contribute financial insights to the company’s sales and operations planning process
  • Identify slow-moving inventory and evaluate its potential financial impact
  • Reporting & Process Improvement
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages
  • Develop dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable financial insights
  • Ensure financial reporting is accurate, consistent, and delivered on time
  • Support improvements to financial models, reporting tools, and planning processes
  • Assist the Accounting team with month-end reporting, accruals, and financial statement analysis
  • Complete ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as requested
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, accounting, or a related role
  • Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and the relationships among the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows
  • Ability to translate financial data into clear, practical business insights
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in consumer products, apparel, retail, e-commerce, or wholesale
  • Experience analyzing inventory and product-level profitability
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Shopify, or similar accounting and e-commerce systems
  • Experience creating dashboards or using business intelligence and data visualization tools
  • Experience supporting a growing, privately held company
