Our client is a growing consumer products organization seeking a Finance Analyst – FP&A to join its finance team. This role will support sales reporting, demand forecasting, budgeting, and trade spend analysis while providing critical insights that help drive strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and enjoys partnering with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate financial, gross sales, and net sales performance reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), for leadership on a monthly basis.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and demand planning processes.
  • Perform actual-to-budget and year-over-year variance analysis, identifying key drivers related to volume, mix, pricing, and profitability.
  • Develop mid-month sales performance reporting to monitor results against plan and highlight areas requiring management attention.
  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations to support business strategy and performance improvement.
  • Partner with business leaders across sales, marketing, and operations to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Create and maintain management reporting packages, dashboards, and KPI tracking tools.
  • Analyze sales and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth and margin improvement.
  • Support annual operating plans and long-range strategic planning initiatives.
  • Develop financial models and business cases to evaluate investments, initiatives, and strategic opportunities.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from leadership.
  • Document processes and procedures while helping improve FP&A tools, reporting capabilities, and data quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial analysis, or business analytics OR 1+ years' experience coming directly from public accounting
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting.
  • Prior experience within a consumer products, manufacturing, or similar industry environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and key business performance metrics.
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong financial modeling capabilities.
  • Experience with business intelligence and FP&A tools such as Power BI, Anaplan, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a desire to make a meaningful impact.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
