Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the company's accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance functions. This position is responsible for assisting with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, payroll processing, financial analysis, and reporting. The role will also contribute to budgeting, process improvement initiatives, and annual audit activities within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, accruals, prepaid expense schedules, and account reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Process and maintain journal entries with proper documentation and file keeping.
• Monitor, analyse, and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Process payroll and support payroll-related accounting activities in accordance with established timelines.
• Maintain intercompany accounting records and support the reconciliation of intercompany transactions and balances.
• Perform financial and accounting analysis related to operating expenses, accruals, commissions, contractual obligations, and other business activities.
• Review financial transactions and supporting documentation to ensure proper accounting treatment and expense classification.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial reports and accounting schedules.
• Assist in annual financial audits.
• Update financial databases to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and other finance and accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a related finance role.
• CPA designation (or actively pursuing) preferred.
• Strong technical skills in accounting and financial analysis within a multi-entity and multi-currency environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong aptitude for working with financial systems and data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Excellent attention to detail, highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality, with the ability to adapt to fast changes in a rapid-growing environment.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Deadline driven and capable of working independently.
• Willingness to challenge existing processes and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
• Experience in the iGaming industry is considered an asset.
