- Financial Analyst – Role Description & Qualifications
- We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate should possess strong quantitative skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to transform financial data into actionable insights that drive business performance and growth.
- The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial information, monitoring business performance, preparing reports, and providing recommendations to support management decisions. This role requires a high level of accuracy, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with financial standards.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers of financial performance.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, profitability, and operational performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.
- Perform cost analysis, trend analysis, and investment evaluations.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
- Identify financial risks, opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Support strategic planning initiatives and business growth objectives.
- Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting principles.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in handling financial information.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in financial analysis, accounting, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, corporate finance, or business analysis is an advantage.
- Familiarity with financial systems, ERP platforms, reporting tools, and business intelligence software is beneficial.
- Professional certifications related to finance or accounting are considered an asset.
