About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our finance team at Coastal Sunbelt Produce. This role is pivotal in managing profit analysis, financial forecasting, and reporting activities. The ideal candidate will provide valuable insights into financial performance, identify key profitability drivers, and recommend strategic initiatives to optimize revenue, margins, and cost management. You will collaborate closely with senior management, including the CFO, to support decision-making processes and ensure the financial health of the organization.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• MBA degree is highly preferred to enhance strategic financial analysis capabilities.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or related roles within a corporate environment.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Professional Skills

• Strong organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in financial reporting software and advanced computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the finance manager or CFO in ensuring that overall financial trends and the impacts of key initiatives are accurately reflected in forecasts and reports.
• Identify underperforming customers and vendors, analyzing the key drivers of profitability to inform strategic decisions.
• Quantify the financial impact of cost control initiatives, providing actionable insights to management.
• Assist the local CFO and market CFO in the performance of the financial forecast, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Participate actively in quarterly business reviews (QBR) and the annual operating plan (AOP) process to align financial goals with business objectives.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for cost control and expense reduction to improve overall profitability.
