Position Purpose: With the Medical Affairs Finance team, you will own the day-to-day financial oversight for Medical Affairs vendor activity, including invoice review, purchase order monitoring, funding forecasts, reconciliations, and monthly reclassifications.

Key Details: This is a fully remote role. Primary working hours should align with Eastern Time, with reasonable flexibility across U.S. time zones. Travel is expected to be minimal to none, except for occasional team or planning meetings if required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, or CPT.

  • Own day-to-day financial oversight for Medical Affairs vendor activity, including invoice review, purchase order monitoring, funding forecasts, reconciliations, and monthly reclassifications.
  • Maintain recurring vendor-spend, utilization, case-rate, penalty/credit, and operational reporting; investigate material variances and data-quality issues.
  • Use Excel, Power BI, Coupa, SharePoint, and vendor source files to validate financial information and preserve clear audit support.
  • Partner with Finance, Procurement, Medical Affairs Operations, health plans, and vendors to resolve invoice, contract, coding, allocation, and payment issues.
  • Support month-end close, accrual estimates, quarterly/annual forecasts, and ad hoc financial analyses.
  • Maintain the underlying data and prepare quarterly forecast-to-actual reporting for leadership.
  • Support Medical Affairs staffing models through data preparation, validation, trend analysis, assumption updates, and forecast-to-actual comparisons.
  • Assist with contract-impact analyses by mapping current utilization to proposed pricing terms and identifying cost risks or opportunities.
  • Support efforts to streamline recurring reclassification and reporting processes using existing tools and standardized methods to improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and create capacity for staffing-model support and other analytical priorities.
  • Maintain process documentation and contribute to practical workflow improvements.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong Excel capability, including PivotTables, lookups, SUMIFS, data validation, reconciliation, and maintaining formula-driven workbooks.
  • Experience with financial forecasting, variance analysis, invoice/PO processes, month-end support, and internal account reconciliation.
  • Ability to prepare and validate data inputs, update assumptions, analyze trends, and support staffing or other operational forecasting models.
  • Ability to work with incomplete or changing data, identify root causes, document assumptions, and perform accuracy checks.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership, organization, and deadline management across multiple recurring deliverables.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with finance, operational, vendor, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Power BI and Coupa experience are preferred; ability and willingness to learn new systems
  • Interest in process improvement and willingness to help test, maintain, and validate workflow enhancements built with existing tools.
  • Sound judgment, curiosity, service orientation, and a continuous-improvement mindset.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years of financial or data analysis experience.

Pay Range: $56,200.00 - $101,000.00 per year
