• Job Summary
• We are looking for an experienced ETL Tester to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across various data sources and target systems. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data warehouse testing, SQL, ETL validation, and defect management.
• Responsibilities
• Design and execute ETL test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Validate data extraction from source systems and loading into target databases/data warehouses.
• Perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation.
• Write complex SQL queries to verify data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
• Test data transformations, mappings, business rules, and data quality.
• Perform ETL, data warehouse, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or similar.
• Analyze data discrepancies and work with developers/data engineers to resolve issues.
• Validate incremental loads, full loads, and error-handling scenarios.
• Participate in test planning, execution, defect triage, and reporting.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, ETL Developers, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Required Skills
• 5+ years of experience in ETL/Data Warehouse Testing.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, aggregations, and data validation.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, or similar.
• Experience testing databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or similar.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and Data Warehouse concepts.
• Experience with source-to-target mapping and data reconciliation.
• Experience with JIRA or similar defect-management tools.
• Good understanding of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies.
• Preferred Skills
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS Redshift.
• Knowledge of Python or scripting for test automation.
• Experience with API testing and data integration testing.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience in banking, healthcare, insurance, or other enterprise environments is a plus.
