EMR Analyst (eClinicalWorks)

The Encompass Group is partnering with a respected healthcare organization to identify an experienced EMR Analyst to support and optimize their eClinicalWorks platform. This is a fully onsite position based in San Antonio, TX, offering the opportunity to play a key role in enhancing clinical operations, supporting end users, and driving EMR improvements across a growing healthcare network.
Important: Candidates must have hands-on eClinicalWorks experience as an analyst or administrator. Applicants without eClinicalWorks experience will not be considered.

- Fully onsite (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM)

- Position Overview
- The EMR Analyst serves as the technical and operational subject matter expert for the organization's eClinicalWorks Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This individual will partner with clinic staff, providers, leadership, and IT teams to support, optimize, troubleshoot, and enhance the EMR environment.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills and a passion for improving healthcare workflows through technology.
- Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary SME for eClinicalWorks applications and workflows
- Troubleshoot and resolve EMR-related issues in a timely manner
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for system improvements
- Gather requirements, create user stories, and document workflows
- Support EMR projects, upgrades, implementations, and optimization efforts
- Develop and maintain user documentation and training materials
- Provide end-user support and training for clinical and administrative teams
- Track and document issues through the ticketing system
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and healthcare stakeholders to improve system functionality
- Assist with maintenance and support across all functional areas of eClinicalWorks
Qualifications
- Required
- Hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks as an Analyst, Administrator, or similar role
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in business application analysis, EMR administration, project management, or related technical roles
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting users in a healthcare environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of HIPAA requirements and patient confidentiality

- Medical office or healthcare organization experience
- End-user training experience
- Associate's degree or higher
