Electrical Superintendent – Data Centers (El Paso, Texas) Position Overview

The Electrical Superintendent – Data Centers (El Paso, Texas) will lead the electrical construction efforts on a data center project. This role is responsible for the field management of all electrical activities, ensuring that work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mission-critical electrical systems, including power distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, and generators.

Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Mission-critical, And Hyperscale Data Experience Preferred.

Electrical Superintendent Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and direct the personnel involved in the installation of electrical systems in order to ensure the work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Maintain a culture of safety and quality first.
• Have a complete understanding of the project design, drawings, specifications, and installation requirements.
• Work in conjunction with the Project Management Team on material and equipment buyouts, schedules, labor, and tracking.
• Monitors quality of workmanship on the project and ensures compliance with the project and company standards.
• Evaluates, mentors, and trains field supervision and tradesmen.
• Performs takeoffs and pricing for change orders and project related work.
• Evaluates productivity and schedules and makes the adjustments required to optimize efficiency.

Electrical Superintendent Requirements

• Minimum 7–10 years of electrical construction experience, with at least 3 years in a superintendent role.
• Experience with data center or other mission-critical facilities is required.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including MV/LV switchgear, UPS, PDU, ATS/STS, backup generators, and grounding systems.
• Current State Electrical Journeyman License or 4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or licensed journeyman experience.
• Understanding of construction and labor scheduling, cost control, and ability to control and supervise large groups.
