Put Your E&I Estimating Experience to Work on Large-Scale Data Center Projects
- Are you an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Estimator with experience estimating complex electrical construction projects?
- We are hiring an experienced E&I Estimator in Odessa, Texas to support large-scale hyperscale data center, mission-critical and industrial EPC projects. This position is responsible for developing accurate estimates from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission.
- What You Will Do
- Prepare conceptual, budgetary and hard-bid estimates
- Review drawings, specifications, one-lines, P&IDs and project documents
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, bus duct, cable tray, conduit, underground electrical, grounding, lighting, instrumentation, fiber optics, structured cabling and building automation interfaces
- Develop labor estimates using productivity factors
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations
- Prepare equipment pricing and material cost analysis
- Develop indirect cost estimates including temporary power & lighting, equipment, site logistics, supervision and general conditions
- Identify project risks and develop contingency recommendations
- Coordinate with operations, project management, engineering and procurement
- Support pre-bid meetings, bid clarifications, negotiations and change-order pricing
- What You Bring
- 7+ years of E&I estimating experience
- 3+ years estimating hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities or large industrial EPC projects
- Experience estimating projects exceeding $25 million in electrical value
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE standards, and industrial electrical construction practices
- Strong blueprint, specification interpretation and quantity takeoff skills
- Strong mathematical, analytical, communication and organizational skills
Experience in data centers, industrial EPC, oil & gas, power generation, semiconductor facilities, design-build estimating or field electrical construction is preferred. A Journeyman Electrician background is also preferred.
- Software Experience
- Accubid Enterprise, Accubid Anywhere, ConEst, Bluebeam Revu, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, Advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD

Work Location: Odessa, Texas, with travel to project sites as required.
