The demand for AI infrastructure is creating one of the largest data center buildouts the industry has ever seen.

I'm currently partnering with a rapidly scaling AI infrastructure company that is delivering hyperscale data center capacity to support the next generation of AI compute.

As part of this growth, they're seeking a Commissioning Electrical Lead to take ownership of electrical commissioning activities across multiple mission-critical projects across the US.

While the title is "Lead", the scope aligns more closely with a Director-level position, with responsibility for commissioning strategy, execution, stakeholder leadership, and final operational handover.

This is an opportunity to move beyond a single-site focus and play a key role in delivering large-scale critical infrastructure that will underpin the future of AI.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Leading electrical commissioning strategy and execution across multiple sites
• Managing commissioning agents, contractors, vendors, and design teams
• Overseeing Level 1-5 commissioning activities
• Driving successful testing, validation, troubleshooting, and operational handover
• Ensuring commissioning quality across critical power infrastructure

Experience sought:

• Hyperscale or mission-critical data center commissioning experience
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV electrical systems
• UPS, generators, switchgear, ATS/STS, EPMS, and associated controls
• NETA testing standards and commissioning best practices
• Owner's representative or client-side commissioning experience highly desirable

Location: Austin, TX (preferred) + travel

Compensation: $200,000-$250,000 base salary + equity
