The EDI & Compliance Analyst is responsible for analyzing, mapping, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions and customer compliance integrations across retail, wholesale, and direct-to-consumer channels. This role serves as a technical liaison between Customer Service, IT, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate data exchange, seamless system integrations, and compliance with customer requirements.
The analyst will build, test, validate, monitor, and resolve EDI transaction issues while ensuring data integrity across ERP, warehouse, logistics, and customer systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and resolve data and integration issues.
Key Responsibilities
EDI Analysis, Mapping & Integration
- Analyze customer and trading partner EDI specifications and business requirements.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot EDI transaction mappings and integration workflows.
- Support implementation and onboarding of new EDI trading partners, customers, and third-party providers.
- Configure, test, validate, and deploy EDI transaction sets
- Additional customer-specific transaction sets as required
- Analyze inbound and outbound EDI data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Ensure successful integration between BlueCherry ERP, 3PL providers, retailers, marketplaces, and customer systems.
Data Analysis & Troubleshooting
- Investigate and resolve EDI transaction failures, mapping errors, integration exceptions, and data discrepancies.
- Analyze transaction logs, system-generated errors, and processing exceptions to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot data flow issues between customers, ERP systems, warehouses, third-party logistics providers, and external platforms.
- Validate data accuracy and consistency across integrated systems and escalate systemic issues as needed.
- Monitor transaction activity and integration performance to identify risks and opportunities for increased reliability.
- Testing & Implementation
- Develop and execute EDI testing plans for new customer implementations and system changes.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), parallel testing, and certification testing with trading partners.
- Document test results, identify defects, and work with internal and external partners to resolve issues.
- Support ERP upgrades, EDI platform enhancements, and integration projects.
Customer Service & Operational Support
- Support customer compliance initiatives by ensuring adherence to retailer routing, labeling, ASN, invoicing, shipping, and operational requirements.
- Analyze chargebacks, compliance deductions, and customer scorecards to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Operations and third-party partners to resolve operational issues and support customer requirements.
- Support inventory transfers, shipment processing, and 3PL coordination activities.
- Administer and optimize customer service technologies, including Gorgias workflows, macros, and AI-enabled tools.
- Maintain process documentation, SOPs, testing records, and operational procedures to support compliance and business continuity.
- Identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and operational efficiencies that improve service levels and data quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in EDI, systems integration, business analysis, data analysis, or a related technical role.
- Knowledge of EDI transaction sets, integration concepts, and data exchange processes.
- Experience with EDI testing, transaction monitoring, issue resolution, and system implementations.
- Familiarity with ERP, warehouse management, and order management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify root causes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, implementation guides, mapping documentation, and business requirements.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and external partners.
