Director of Investment Risk and Data Analytics

• Location: Boston, MA
• A Boston-based asset management firm is seeking an experienced Risk/Data Dirctor to provide quantitative analysis supporting equity portfolio construction, performance measurement, and risk management.
• Key Responsibilities
• Analyze equity portfolio exposures across risk factors, fundamental characteristics, sectors, and other relevant dimensions.
• Evaluate portfolio positioning relative to benchmarks and investment objectives.
• Utilize established equity risk models and analytical platforms, including Barra, Axioma, and Bloomberg.
• Conduct total and active return analysis across equity strategies.
• Prepare Brinson attribution and factor-based performance attribution analyses.
• Develop quantitative analytics, risk reports, and portfolio monitoring tools.
• Present complex analytical findings and insights clearly to portfolio managers and investment teams.
• Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience within an asset management firm, with a strong understanding of equity portfolio risk, factor exposures, and sector positioning.
• Demonstrated experience with total and active return analysis, risk models, and performance attribution.
• Strong proficiency with Barra, Axioma, Bloomberg, R, and Python.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex risk and performance data into clear, actionable insights for portfolio management teams.
