Director, Hyperscale Data Center Account Management
San Jose, CA area | Full-time, direct hire | Hybrid/on-site
Position Highlights
• Lead a team of seven account managers and engineers across multiple states
• Own account growth, profitability, and executive relationships
• Report to the SVP of the Data Center Business Division
• Travel approximately 25–40%
Background Requirements
• 10+ years in B2B sales, account management, or business development, including at least 5 years leading a team
• Strong relationships and experience with hyperscale data center customers
• Knowledge of AI/GPU infrastructure and high-density fiber-optic cabling, including MPO/MTP, patch cords, and connectors
• Demonstrated P&L ownership and success improving account margins
• Experience coordinating commercial, engineering, and supply chain teams in a global organization
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field
Experience with Japanese business practices, telecommunications or networking technology, and long-term data center contracts is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategies for major hyperscale accounts
• Build relationships with customer executives and align product plans with their infrastructure growth
• Own revenue, margins, forecasts, pricing, and contract negotiations
• Coordinate customer requirements with global engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
• Identify opportunities to expand fiber-optic connectivity business
• Coach a distributed team and set clear revenue and margin goals
