Enterprise Data Strategy & Executive Insights (X%)
- Lead the collections BI and analytics strategy by leveraging data to generate executive‑level insights, establishing enterprise KPIs, and delivering robust reporting that informs leadership decisions, strengthens loss prevention, and optimizes costs.
- Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing collection and recovery strategies and workflows for all products. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to consistently execute and evaluate Champion and Challenger strategies, aiming to optimize outcomes and minimize collection costs.
Operational Transformation & Performance Optimization (X%)
- Drive data‑led transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve collections strategies, workflows, and decisioning, translating analytics into measurable gains in effectiveness, efficiency, and financial outcomes.
- Proactively research, evaluate, test and implement emerging AI technologies to maintain Fairstone's leadership in collections and recovery best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure initiatives are aligned with our risk appetite as well as legal and compliance requirements.
Cross‑Functional Leadership & Influence (X%)
Serve as a strategic partner to Risk, Operations, Technology, and senior stakeholders to ensure collections analytics initiatives are aligned with enterprise objectives and embedded into business planning and execution.
People Leadership & Team Development (X%)
- Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing BI and analytics team, setting clear direction, mentoring leaders and analysts, and strengthening analytical maturity across the collections function.
- Develop and implement the vision, objectives, and roadmap of their team and support the Collections and Recovery leadership team in setting the strategic vision for the entire business.
- Transform the team from a data and reporting function into a dynamic unit that continuously leverages data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges, collaborating with leadership to ensure these insights are effectively acted upon.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, statistics, economics, finance or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 10 years with a financial services organization in Collections and recovery, specifically, hands-on experience with unsecured and secured lending products.
- Strong data analytic and logical thinking ability, with a track record of data-driven decision making.
- Working knowledge of at least one of the data analytics tools, such as SAS, SQL, R, Python and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI
- At least 8 years of people management experience.
- Strong project management and leadership skills to prioritize manage and implement a variety of competing initiatives, on a concurrent or staggered basis
- Excellent communication and written skills complemented with solid deductive reasoning, sound judgement and data storytelling.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to adjust communication style based on the audience
