Data Solution Architect (Informatica) – Contract

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Data Solution Architect specializing in Informatica IDMC/IICS to support a complex enterprise data migration program.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the technical architecture, infrastructure configuration and troubleshooting of a secure data integration environment.

• This is a highly technical position requiring someone who can combine solution architecture expertise with practical experience installing and administering Informatica Secure Agent,
• developing and troubleshooting data pipelines, and managing Microsoft SQL Server environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure and administer Informatica Secure Agent within an on-premises Windows Server environment.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot and optimize Informatica IDMC mappings, mapping tasks and taskflows.
• Install, configure, secure and administer Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Investigate and resolve complex data integration, connectivity and performance issues.
• Develop T-SQL queries for data staging, validation and reconciliation.
• Design secure data integration solutions that comply with data-protection and access-control requirements.
• Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability of data migration processes.
• Produce technical documentation and support knowledge transfer.

• Essential Experience
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture.
• At least 4 years of hands-on Informatica IDMC/IICS Cloud Data Integration experience.
• Proven experience installing, configuring and administering Informatica Secure Agent in an on-premises Windows environment.
• Strong experience designing and troubleshooting Informatica mappings and taskflows.
• Hands-on Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience, including installation, configuration, security, backup/recovery and performance optimization.
• Advanced T-SQL skills.
• Experience delivering complex data migration projects.
• Experience working with sensitive or regulated data.

• Desirable Experience
• SAP HR and OpenText.
• Workday data integration.
• Snowflake or Azure SQL.
• PowerShell scripting.
• Informatica or Microsoft certifications.

• Ideal Candidate
• We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced Informatica Solution Architects, Technical Architects, Data Integration Architects and Senior Informatica Technical Leads who have a strong hands-on technical background.

The successful candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of the architecture while also personally configuring infrastructure, troubleshooting integration issues and ensuring successful migration outcomes.
