About the Opportunity:
The DATA SCIENTIST role is integral to leveraging data to improve health outcomes for children with special healthcare needs. This position involves developing machine learning and AI models to generate actionable insights that directly impact patient care and business strategy. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and translation of complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders, contributing to the organization’s mission to enhance pediatric care.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate them into ML/AI models to enhance clinical outcomes.
- Partner with data science staff and cross-functional teams to define requirements, optimize data collection, and deliver strategic insights.
- Develop machine learning models using clinical, claims, and social determinants of health data to inform recommendations.
- Independently query Snowflake and prepare datasets for exploratory analysis and modeling.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience with proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Strong foundation in study design, causal inference, hypothesis testing, and research methodologies.
- Ability to communicate findings effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in a startup or growth environment; healthcare experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, and/or Tableau.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- The role offers a base salary range of $135,000 to $170,000 plus annual bonus incentive.
