About The Role

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science and Decision Science team. This pivotal role involves translating complex business objectives into sophisticated AI, Machine Learning, and Operations Research models that drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced predictive and prescriptive models, ensuring their robustness and scalability in production environments. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess over five years of experience in data science, operations research, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering impactful analytics solutions. Candidates with a PhD in computer science, statistics, industrial engineering, or similar disciplines should have at least two years of relevant experience. Expertise in operations research modeling, including linear programming (LP), integer programming (IP), and mixed-integer programming (MIP), along with proficiency in tools such as CPLEX and Gurobi, is essential.

Candidates must demonstrate strong capabilities in building various machine learning models, including supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning techniques. Proficiency in feature engineering, model evaluation, hyperparameter tuning, and familiarity with frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and large language models (LLMs) is required. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, handling large datasets, and deploying solutions in cloud environments is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with streaming data architectures, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines will be advantageous. Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to mentor junior staff are critical for success in this role.

• Present insights, findings, and outcomes to stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner, supporting data-driven decision-making processes.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in machine learning, optimization, and AI, integrating innovative techniques into projects.
• Mentor junior data scientists, providing technical guidance, reviewing work, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Uphold ethical standards in data science practices, ensuring models and solutions are developed with fairness, transparency, and integrity.
