About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to join MANTECH's dynamic team in Fort Meade, MD. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and deploying advanced data analytics and machine learning solutions tailored to national security needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with the ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, intelligence analysts, and customers to translate complex data into actionable insights. Your work will involve prototyping, testing, and transitioning data workflows and analytics into operational environments within a secure cloud infrastructure. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field such as statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, computer science, data science, physics, or a related discipline. Alternatively, candidates with four additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A minimum of seven years of experience in roles such as Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or similar is required. Proficiency with standard data analysis tools, frameworks, or programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or equivalent is essential. Candidates should have a strong understanding of statistical modeling, data analysis, and graph-based approaches to handle complex datasets effectively.

Responsibilities

• Execute and contribute technical expertise across multiple data science and analytic development efforts within a secure cloud environment, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with customers, intelligence analysts, and Subject Matter Experts to align analytic requirements with overarching mission goals.
• Prototype and transition data pipelines and advanced analytics into scalable, operational environments, ensuring seamless deployment and integration.
• Apply statistical modeling, data analysis, and graph-based techniques to complex datasets, preparing workflows that support future machine learning applications.
• Manage individual analytic tasks efficiently, delivering high-quality technical work that meets project objectives and deadlines.
