Transform Data Into Business Value
- Geiger is seeking a Data Product Owner to lead the strategy, governance, and evolution of enterprise data assets that power decision-making across the organization. This highly visible role is responsible for ensuring that enterprise data is accurate, trusted, accessible, and aligned with business objectives.
- As the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, you'll help define how data is structured, governed, and leveraged across the enterprise. You'll work closely with leaders across functions to establish data standards, improve data quality, and support major initiatives including ERP modernization, analytics programs, data warehouse development, and enterprise reporting.

- What You'll DoLead Enterprise Data Strategy & Governance
- Define and maintain ownership, standards, and quality expectations for key business data domains such as customer, product, finance, and supply chain data.
- Establish and maintain business data definitions, hierarchies, governance practices, and critical data standards.
- Serve as the business owner for assigned data domains and ensure alignment between business priorities and data initiatives.
- Partner with leaders across the organization to establish consistent, enterprise-wide approaches to data management and governance.
- Ensure regulatory, privacy, and company policy requirements are reflected in data standards and business processes.
- Drive Data Quality, Analytics & Business Value
- Translate business needs into clear data requirements, business rules, enrichment logic, and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize data initiatives, cleansing efforts, and enhancements based on business value and transformation objectives.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues impacting operations, reporting, analytics, and decision-making.
- Validate and approve transformed, cleansed, and enriched datasets before deployment.
- Define and monitor key metrics that measure data quality, adoption, and business impact.
- Standardize metric definitions and reporting logic across systems and business functions.
- Partner Across the Business
- Collaborate with executives, business leaders, subject matter experts, analysts, and technical teams to drive alignment on data strategy and priorities.
- Facilitate discussions and resolve challenges related to data ownership, definitions, priorities, and usage.
- Support enterprise transformation initiatives, including ERP modernization and application enhancements.
- Promote data literacy and encourage effective use of data and analytics throughout the organization.
- Lead and Develop a Team
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for a team of Data Analysts supporting enterprise initiatives.
- Prioritize work, assign projects, and ensure alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Review analytical outputs and documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to enterprise standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years of experience in data management, analytics, business systems, data governance, enterprise transformation, or related disciplines.
- Experience partnering with business leaders to define data requirements and drive organizational change.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across multiple levels of an organization.
- Experience improving data quality, establishing governance practices, and supporting business decision-making through data.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (MBA, MS Analytics, Information Systems, or related field).
- Certifications in Data Management, Data Governance, Agile Product Ownership, ERP platforms, or related disciplines.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, enterprise reporting, data warehouse initiatives, or large-scale business transformation programs.
