Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in Asset & Wealth Management or Retirement Services or Financial Services. The candidate will design scalable enterprise data models supporting Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, Data Products, BI, and AI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Develop canonical, conformed, and dimensional data models using Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Define facts, dimensions, hierarchies, measures, KPIs, and business rules.
- Support Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
- Translate business requirements into reusable data domains and data products.
- Define data modeling, metadata, naming, and governance standards.
- Partner with Data Governance teams on data quality, ownership, lineage, and glossary.
- Support data catalog, semantic layer, BI, analytics, and AI initiatives.
- Lead model reviews and collaborate with business, product, engineering, and architecture teams.
- Required Skills
- 12+ years of experience in Data Modeling/Data Architecture.
- Strong experience in Asset Management, Wealth Management, Retirement, or Financial Services.
- Hands-on experience with Erwin.
- Strong knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, and SQL.
- Experience with Canonical Data Modeling, Dimensional Modeling, Lakehouse, and Medallion Architecture.
- Strong understanding of BI/Analytics, Data Governance, Metadata, and Data Lineage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Data Mesh and Domain-Driven Design.
- Experience building Data Products and Semantic Data Layers.
- Knowledge of Collibra, Alation, or similar data governance/catalog tools.
- Experience supporting AI/ML and self-service BI initiatives.
- Relevant AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, or Data Architecture certifications.
