Role Description The Data Insights Analyst (Remote, Entry-Level) at Tourisme Montérégie is a part-time role focused on supporting data-driven decision-making across marketing, operations, and partner initiatives. On a typical day, you will collect, clean, and organize tourism-related data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency. You will perform basic data analysis, build simple dashboards or reports, and highlight key trends, patterns, and performance indicators. You will help translate data findings into clear, actionable insights and visualizations for internal teams and external partners. The role is fully remote, requires regular virtual collaboration, and involves assisting with ad hoc analyses, report updates, and documentation of data processes.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills and familiarity with Data Analytics concepts to interpret datasets and support decision-making.
Basic understanding of Statistics to perform simple analyses, interpret trends, and validate findings.
Foundational experience or coursework in Data Modeling to organize information in a clear and scalable structure.
Effective Communication skills to explain insights in a concise, accessible way to non-technical audiences.
Comfort with spreadsheets and/or data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets; familiarity with BI tools is an asset).
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Post-secondary education or ongoing studies in data analytics, statistics, business, tourism, or a related field preferred.
Interest in tourism, regional development, or destination marketing is an advantage.
