Data Infrastructure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – AWS & Big Data Platforms

We are looking for a Senior Data Infrastructure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong expertise in AWS, Big Data platforms, automation, and Site Reliability Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of enterprise data infrastructure across AWS and on-prem Hadoop environments.

Important: This role is specifically focused on Data Infrastructure SRE. We are not looking for a traditional DevOps SRE whose primary focus is CI/CD, application deployments, or general cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and optimize highly available AWS and on-prem data platforms.
• Improve reliability through automation, monitoring, and incident management.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot distributed systems.
• Manage Hadoop environments and optimize Spark/Iceberg workloads.
• Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automate operational tasks with Python.
• Enhance observability, alerting, and platform performance.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams and participate in on-call support.
