Role Description This is a part-time, remote Data Entry Analyst role focused on supporting the magazine’s data quality, reporting, and audience insights. On a day-to-day basis, the Data Entry Analyst will collect, verify, and enter data related to subscribers, readership metrics, engagement performance, and featured businesses into designated systems and databases. The role includes cleansing and organizing data sets, maintaining accurate records, and preparing basic reports or dashboards that help the editorial and marketing teams understand audience trends. The Data Entry Analyst will assist with simple data modeling tasks, monitor data for inconsistencies, and flag issues or anomalies for further review. Collaboration with cross-functional team members via virtual meetings, email, and chat tools is expected to align on data requirements and deadlines.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret patterns and trends and support data-driven decisions.
Foundational experience or coursework in data analytics and statistics to assist with basic reporting and performance analysis.
Understanding of data modeling concepts and comfort working with structured datasets or simple database tools.
Clear written and verbal communication skills to present findings and collaborate with remote team members.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency in data entry and record maintenance.
Proficiency with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets); familiarity with analytics or BI tools is a plus.
Ability to manage time effectively in a remote, part-time environment and meet agreed-upon deadlines.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Business, Mathematics, Information Systems), or equivalent practical experience.
Interest in small business, entrepreneurship, or digital media is highly beneficial.
