Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Data Entry Analyst at Microsoft Daily Hack. The Data Entry Analyst will collect, enter, and maintain structured and unstructured data from various sources related to experiments, productivity workflows, and user interactions. Day-to-day tasks include validating data for accuracy, cleaning and formatting datasets, and organizing data in spreadsheets or databases for further analysis. The role also involves supporting basic data analysis tasks, generating simple reports or dashboards, and documenting data processes so others can reproduce and understand the work. The Data Entry Analyst will collaborate with content creators, developers, and analysts to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and ready for decision-making and experimentation.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret patterns, trends, and anomalies in datasets.
Foundational experience or coursework in data analytics and statistics to support basic analysis and reporting.
Understanding of data modeling concepts, including organizing data into logical structures for efficient use.
Clear written and verbal communication skills to document processes and explain findings to technical and non-technical collaborators.
Proficiency with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and familiarity with data entry best practices.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency when entering, cleaning, and validating data.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Preferred: experience with basic data tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar), and interest in Microsoft products and productivity workflows.
Preferred: relevant coursework or a degree in data science, statistics, information systems, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
