Job Description
- We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a data engineering team responsible for building reliable data pipelines and data infrastructure that support business-critical applications and analytics.
- This opportunity is well suited for an early-career data engineer who has a strong foundation in Python, SQL, ETL/ELT, and data pipelines and wants to grow in a modern cloud data environment.
- You will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to ingestion pipelines, workflow orchestration, data quality, testing, and data integration.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Python and SQL.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines.
- Develop and support workflow orchestration using tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Write unit tests and documentation for data engineering workflows.
- Work with senior engineers to troubleshoot pipeline and data-quality issues.
- Support data integrations and data delivery workflows.
- Monitor pipeline performance and investigate failures using established procedures.
- Participate in code reviews and follow Git-based development practices.
- Work with engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Apply established data engineering standards for reliability, security, and data quality.
- Continuously improve technical skills and contribute to engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related technical role.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipelines.
- Experience working with Git and pull-request based development.
- Familiarity with unit testing and software development best practices.
- Understanding of data ingestion, transformation, scheduling, and data quality concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior engineers and team members.
