Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Data Engineer. In this position, the Data Engineer designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and application needs. The role includes implementing and optimizing ETL processes, modeling data for usability and performance, and managing data warehousing solutions. The Data Engineer collaborates with software engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, ensure data quality, and enable data-driven decision-making. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve monitoring data workflows, troubleshooting issues, improving system reliability, and contributing to the continuous enhancement of the data architecture.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Data Engineering skills, including building and maintaining data pipelines and distributed data systems.
Candidates should possess Data Modeling and Data Warehousing skills to design, optimize, and manage structured data repositories.
Candidates should possess Extract Transform Load (ETL) skills to develop, automate, and optimize data ingestion and transformation processes.
Candidates should possess Data Analytics skills to enable reporting, dashboards, and insights that support business decisions.
Experience with SQL and one or more programming languages (such as Python, Java, or Scala) for data processing and automation.
Familiarity with cloud data platforms and services (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka, dbt) is beneficial.
Understanding of data governance, security, and best practices for data quality and documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment with clear communication and problem-solving skills.
