Position: Data Engineer

Location: 100% onsite near Placentia, CA (Only local candidates will be considered)

Terms: Direct-hire

Compensation: $110,000 to 120,000 annual base salary

Partnered with a client who is hiring an experienced Data Engineer to design and scale reliable data pipelines, strengthen the data warehouse, and elevate data quality across the business. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in SQL, Python (especially!), AWS, and automation-and enjoys partnering across technical and business teams to deliver impact.

What You'll Do

• Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
• Support data modeling and data warehouse development
• Optimize SQL performance, data reliability, and automation
• Troubleshoot data issues and drive continuous process improvements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions
• Uphold code quality, documentation, and engineering best practices

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• Advanced SQL skills (optimization, data modeling)
• Strong Cloud experience (AWS preferred with Glue, Lambda, S3, Step Functions)
• Proficiency in Python for data pipelines and automation
• Experience with ETL/ELT, APIs, and system integrations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
