• Pay Rate: CAD $95/hr - $100/hr

Must have:

• 10+ years of experience as a Data Engineer and/or Data Analyst in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL for enterprise ETL/ELT workflows.
• 4+ years of experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes and scalable data pipelines.
• 4+ years of experience with Business Intelligence, executive reporting, KPI reporting, self-service BI, and Power BI/DAX.
• 4+ years of experience with cloud/hybrid data platforms and cloud modernization.
• 4+ years of experience with Data Warehouse/Lakehouse design, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, fact/dimension modeling.
• 2+ years of experience with data migration and modernization across on-premises, cloud, and cross-database environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory/Fabric Data Factory, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Spark, Delta Lake, or similar modern data technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and practices.
• Experience with data quality, validation, performance tuning, monitoring, and enterprise data governance.
• 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise-scale applications or public-service initiatives within public sector or mixed delivery environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Develop and optimize end-to-end ETL/ELT workflows using Python, PySpark, SQL, ADF/Fabric Data Factory, SSIS, Databricks, and related technologies.
• Design and maintain enterprise Data Warehouse/Lakehouse solutions using dimensional, Star, and Snowflake schemas.
• Integrate data from databases, APIs, files, NoSQL platforms, and other enterprise sources.
• Plan and execute data migration, modernization, validation, and data quality initiatives.
• Develop Power BI dashboards, executive reports, KPIs, and self-service BI solutions using DAX.
• Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable business insights.
• Implement CI/CD, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, business stakeholders, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Support data governance, security, access management, documentation, and enterprise data platform standards.
• Work in Agile environments and provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
