About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining scalable, high-performance data infrastructure that forms the backbone of our multi-tenant data platform. Your work will ensure that our data pipelines, warehouses, and integrations are optimized for accuracy, performance, and accessibility, supporting our core business operations and analytics needs. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in Product and Engineering, you will develop data solutions that facilitate experimentation, insights, and decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include implementing data quality monitoring systems, documenting data assets, designing integrations, and contributing to the long-term architecture strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of commerce AI, leveraging your expertise to create foundational data systems that empower our organization and clients alike.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in building, managing, and optimizing core data infrastructure at scale in a multi-tenant environment
- Strong proficiency in SQL and programming skills in Python; experience with Bash scripting for automation
- Deep knowledge of Snowflake, including features like Snowpipes, storage integrations, stages, streams, and tasks
- Experience working within the AWS ecosystem, deploying and managing applications with serverless tools such as ECS and Lambda
- Experience developing custom ingestion pipelines using tools like dlt or requests
- Hands-on experience ingesting data from third-party APIs and building pipelines with Dagster and Snowflake (Snowpipe, streams, and tasks)
- Proficiency with workflow orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect, and data transformation tools like dbt
- Familiarity with DataOps tools including Docker, GitHub Actions, and Terraform
- Experience with AI or ML is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support multi-tenant environments
- Optimize data warehouses and pipelines for accuracy, performance, and accessibility
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to develop and implement data platform strategies
- Implement data quality monitoring systems to ensure the integrity and reliability of production data
- Document data assets, processes, and methodologies to facilitate understanding and reuse by team members
- Design and develop data integrations and establish data quality frameworks
- Participate in architecture discussions to shape the long-term data platform vision
- Build and maintain custom ingestion pipelines, including third-party API integrations
- Utilize workflow orchestration and transformation tools to automate data processes
- Contribute to DataOps practices, including containerization, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
