• Rate: $55-$60/hr

JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is seeking two qualified Data Engineers for one of Canada's leading insurance companies. The successful candidate will be joining a senior team in the Enterprise Data Office to support with data transformation for an ongoing modernization project. The team is migrating from SAS to Databricks, and these individuals will be working alongside business users to create containers for the users, so they can do the work in Databricks. Day-to-day will include working through the modernization, helping users get offloaded from SAS to Databricks, teaching the users how to use the AI portion of the work, and some business analysis.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience as a data engineer
• Strong knowledge of Databricks
• Proficiency with AI-augmented delivery (coding)
• Experience coding SAS (Statistical Analysis System)
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark
• Excellent communication skills
